About This Spot

Stepping into Ken’s Pizza on E Taft Avenue is like gently pressing pause and stepping back into a quieter, simpler time. The restaurant’s unchanged 70s interior hums with a soft nostalgia, inviting guests into a world where meals are savored slowly and conversations flow with ease. There’s a warmth here—almost familial—that comes from the steady rhythm of a neighborhood spot where familiar faces linger over shared plates and laughter drifts from table to table.

Here, the pace is unhurried, and the atmosphere is comfortably casual, the kind of place where the hum of the pizza oven mixes with the friendly banter of staff who truly know their regulars. Whether you settle in at a booth under subdued lighting or grab a slice to savor while catching a break from the day, the experience is grounded in the joy of simple, honest food paired with genuine hospitality.

Ken’s blends its Italian roots with Midwestern heart, offering more than just pizza to fill your plate. Alongside classic thin crusts topped with lively combinations, you’ll find the comforting richness of baked rigatoni, the fresh crunch of a thoughtfully assembled salad bar, and delightful surprises like a chocolate chip pizza that feels wonderfully unexpected. The buffet, still humming with a nostalgic charm, invites you to explore a variety of flavors at your own pace, making it easy to relax and discover something new with each visit.

There’s a sense here that food is more than fuel—it’s an invitation to slow down, gather around, and enjoy the moment. With a service style that feels personal and unpretentious, the staff make room for you like old friends, making your visit feel less like dining out and more like coming home.

The inside of the restaurant looks like it did in the 70’s and the pizza was old school delicious. Excellent friendly service from the manager. The buffet was shutting down when we walked in, but the manager said he had a really good deal to offer us. And it was! $19.99 the Couples special: 13” one topping pizza, two drinks and two one trip salads. We got the thin crust, half peperoni and half sausage (no extra cost.) This was delicious pizza. Perfect thin, crispy, crust, not too much cheese or tomato sauce, topped with fantastic sausage and pepperoni. It was a really enjoyable lunch and a heck of a bargain. Great service and pizzas made like when Ken’s pizza parlors were the place to eat. This one still is! Very nostalgic Ken's Pizza, Ken Selby, creator of Mazzio's Pizza, Uno's and Pizzetti's. Stop by on my way to Oklahoma City and to my surprise they had a buffet even more nostalgic. Nothing has been remodeled at this Ken's Pizza. Check it out.

I was surprised to see that there was still a least one still in existence! This was one of my childhood favorites! I love the fact that there's "inside" dining. The food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent! ! I chose to go here for my birthday dinner! 9-23-??.

I had never been to a Ken's pizza place. It was recommended by my food group, and I was pleasantly surprised. It was clean, friendly staff and good food. I tried everything from the buffet. My favorite were the pizza bites, rigatoni, and the desert chocolate chip pizza. For buffet with drink only $12 dollars.

Good food, GREAT service, pleasant, small town atmosphere. We usually go for lunch buffet because it's quick, reasonable prices and all the salad we want. Note: the spaghetti and rigatoni on buffet is always cold or lukewarm! Everything else is good. As usual, dishes off the menu are better.

Rick was our server. He has been here 23 years. He is excellent. The salad bar was fresh and full of good stuff. Our pizza was fantastic. The sauce is sweet and the crust is crunchy and flaky. Great lunch!!
